CITY BOY MOVEMENT ORGANISES FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, NURSING MOTHERS IN IGBESA

The City Boy Movement (CBM), Ogun State, Area 4 (Agbara–Igbesa), has successfully organized a free medical outreach programme aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of pregnant women and nursing mothers in the community.

The initiative, tagged “Saving Mothers,” was held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Civic Centre, Igbesa, and attracted a large turnout of women who benefited from various free healthcare services.

The outreach featured essential medical checks including body temperature, blood pressure, and blood sugar level assessments. Participants were also provided with free medications and protective mosquito nets to help prevent malaria, a major health concern among mothers and children.

Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of CBM Agbara–Igbesa Area 4, Soji Benn, noted that the programme was part of the movement’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, particularly women, by improving access to basic healthcare services.

He emphasized that ensuring the health of mothers is critical to building stronger families and, by extension, a healthier society. According to him, the outreach reflects the group’s dedication to community development and its resolve to complement government efforts in the health sector.

Beneficiaries of the programme expressed gratitude to the organizers, describing the initiative as timely and impactful, especially in light of the rising cost of healthcare services.

The Saving Mothers outreach further underscores the City Boy Movement’s grassroots engagement and its focus on initiatives that directly improve the quality of life for residents in Ogun State
