Popularly known as “Enny1509,” she founded the platform to create a space where female students are equipped with the mindset, skills, and confidence needed to navigate life beyond societal limitations and academic environments.

The maiden edition of EmpowerHERment was held on June 17, 2025, at OGITECH. It brought together female students from various departments and laid a strong foundation for what has now become a growing empowerment movement.

With growing participation and increasing visibility, EmpowerHERment continues to position itself as a consistent platform for female development within the student and youth community.

Baseless and Regrettable” — Akeran Fires Back at Bribery Allegations. Urges Unity and Discipline in Ado-Odo/Ota

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, ESV (El-Hajj) J.J. Akeran, has dismissed allegations of bribery and monetary inducement leveled against an 8-man committee set up to advise the state governor.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Akeran described the claims as “unfounded and deeply regrettable,” noting that they were attempts to undermine a process established in good faith and guided by due diligence.

He emphasized that members of the committee were carefully selected based on their credibility, proven track records, and commitment to public service, adding that there is no credible evidence to support the allegations being circulated.

Akeran warned that such narratives could create unnecessary tension, sow discord, and erode public trust, urging party members, stakeholders, and supporters to refrain from spreading unverified information and baseless rumours.

“At this critical time, we must resist the temptation to inflame tensions through misinformation. Peace, unity, and mutual respect must remain our guiding principles,” he stated.

The APC chairman called on members within the party structure to remain disciplined, law-abiding, and committed to the collective interest of the party, stressing that unity remains the party’s greatest strength.

He also expressed appreciation to Ogun State Governor, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, for his leadership and commitment to fairness and transparency, while reaffirming his loyalty and support to the administration.

Akeran further assured party members and the general public of his neutrality in handling party affairs, stating that his office would continue to uphold justice, fairness, and due process without fear or favour.

He reiterated that the rule of law remains paramount, adding that no individual or process would be allowed to operate outside its bounds.

The APC chairman concluded by thanking party members, stakeholders, and residents of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government for their continued support and cooperation, expressing confidence in the collective ability to overcome challenges and strengthen progress in the area.
