EmpowerHERment 2.0 Expands Reach, Inspires Female Students Beyond OGITECH

Rt. Hon. Folarin Eniola Rhoda, a Mass Communication graduate of OGITECH and the institution’s first female SUG Speaker, has continued to strengthen her obligation to female empowerment through her initiative, EmpowerHERment.

Popularly known as “Enny1509,” she founded the platform to create a space where female students are equipped with the mindset, skills, and confidence needed to navigate life beyond societal limitations and academic environments.

The maiden edition of EmpowerHERment was held on June 17, 2025, at OGITECH. It brought together female students from various departments and laid a strong foundation for what has now become a growing empowerment movement.

The second edition, EmpowerHERment 2.0, took place on March 5, 2026, at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. This edition marked a notable expansion in scope, attracting a wider audience that included student leaders, young women from different institutions, influencers, and accomplished female professionals.

Key conversations at the event centered on “the power of HER,” with emphasis on leadership development, personal growth, self-awareness, and skill acquisition as essential tools for progress.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Rt. Hon. Folarin Eniola Rhoda explained that EmpowerHERment was created to challenge limiting narratives and encourage young women to take intentional steps toward purpose-driven growth.

“EmpowerHERment is about raising women who are aware of their value and prepared to make meaningful impact in their respective fields,” she said.

Following the event, several participants have shared positive feedback, noting its influence on their personal development and their renewed determination  to leadership and self-improvement.

With growing participation and increasing visibility, EmpowerHERment continues to position itself as a consistent platform for female development within the student and youth community.
