PDP Adopts Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo as Consensus Candidate for Ado-Odo/Ota Reps Seat

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency has adopted Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo as its consensus candidate for the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Her emergence followed a series of consultations among party leaders and stakeholders within the constituency, a move party insiders described as strategic and aimed at strengthening the PDP’s chances in the forthcoming polls.

Before the consensus decision, Engr. Agemo-Okuboyejo and Mr. Tunji Bankole were the two major aspirants contesting for the party’s ticket. However, sources disclosed that the process ended peacefully, with both aspirants embracing the outcome in the interest of party unity and progress.

Political observers have described the development as a significant step toward consolidating the PDP’s structure within the constituency as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually intensify.

Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo, popularly known as Naija Babe, hails from Igbesa in Ado-Odo/Ota. She is the daughter of Late Alhaji Rasak Titiloye Agemo and Late Mrs. Aolat Bosede Agemo.

Agemo-Okuboyejo built a successful career in the oil and gas sector, working with multinational firms including ExxonMobi, Chevro and Centrica Energy, where she managed major oil and gas asset portfolios worth hundreds of millions of pounds.

Following a career transition in 2018, she joined the United Kingdom Civil Service under the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, where she handled energy and gas security policies.
